The return of Formula E to Marrakech did not result in the desired success for the TAG Heuer Porsche Formula E team. Despite intensive preparation of the Porsche 99X Electric race cars on the highly challenging street circuit and a strong performance by Pascal Wehrlein (GER/No. 94) in qualifying, the team from Weissach failed to score points in round 10 of the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship season.
In the heat at the Circuit International Automobile Moulay El Hassan Pascal Wehrlein finished 12th with temperatures of almost 35 degrees celsius. His teammate André Lotterer (GER/No. 36), who had to start the race from the last position on the grid, made up seven places to finish in 15th place.
The TAG Heuer Porsche Formula E Team has scored critical points in the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship as it heads into the second half of the season. At the wheel of the No. 94 Porsche 99X Electric, Pascal Wehrlein (GER) concluded the first Formula E event in Indonesia in eighth place. His teammate André Lotterer (GER/No. 36) took the flag in ninth place at the Jakarta International E-Prix only to have a time penalty relegate him back to 11th. Extreme weather conditions with temperatures of 33 degrees celsius and very high humidity threw tough challenges at drivers, vehicles and teams.
At the wheel of his Porsche 99X Electric, André Lotterer (GER/No. 36) earned important championship points again this weekend for the TAG Heuer Porsche Formula E Team, in race 8 at the Berlin E-Prix. On the apron of the historic Tempelhof Airport, he took the flag in eighth place after narrowly missing out on a podium finish the day before. His teammate Pascal Wehrlein (GER/No. 94) finished 12th.
The TAG Heuer Porsche Formula E Team made a solid start to the Berlin Formula E weekend, in a first-class race with many overtaking manoeuvres and changes at the front of the field. At the wheel of his Porsche 99X Electric, André Lotterer (GER/No. 36) clinched fourth place, narrowly missing out on a podium spot at round seven of the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship. His teammate Pascal Wehrlein (GER/No. 94) took the fastest race lap and was rewarded with an extra point. He crossed the finish line in sixth place. On Sunday, race 8 of the innovative electric racing series will be contested on the apron of the historic Tempelhof Airport.
A disappointing race day for the TAG Heuer Porsche Formula E Team – despite a good start at the Monaco E-Prix and time spent leading the field in the first half of the race, neither Porsche 99X Electric crossed the finish line. After a strong performance among the frontrunners, Pascal Wehrlein (GER/#94) retired with a technical defect. André Lotterer (GER/#36) became the unwitting victim of a collision, which threw him out of contention at race six of the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship in the Principality on the Cote d’Azur. In the drivers‘ standings of the all-electric racing series, André Lotterer ranks sixth after six of 16 races with 43 points. Pascal Wehrlein sits just one point behind in seventh place. In the team standings, the TAG Heuer Porsche Formula E Team is sixth with 85 points.
Strong team performance in the Eternal City this weekend at the Rome E-Prix with André Lotterer (GER/#36) and Pascal Wehrlein (GER/#94) earning more valuable points for the TAG Heuer Porsche Formula E Team in their title bid. An exciting race 5 of the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship, saw Lotterer take the flag in fourth place after leading the field for some time on the Circuito Cittadino dell’EUR. Wehrlein finished in sixth place.
The two Porsche 99X Electric race cars have finished in the points at round four of the Rome E-Prix, the first European race of the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship. Pascal Wehrlein (GER/#94), who claimed the first victory for the TAG Heuer Porsche Formula E Team recently in Mexico, came eighth in the Eternal City, with his teammate André Lotterer (GER/#36) crossing the finish line two places behind him. The next race of the all-electric championship is tomorrow Sunday, 10 April, again in Rome.
The TAG Heuer Porsche Formula E Team celebrated its greatest success to date with an historic one-two victory at the Mexico City E-Prix. Starting from pole position on the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez circuit in the No. 94 Porsche 99X Electric, Pascal Wehrlein (GER) clinched the first victory for Porsche in the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship. His teammate André Lotterer (GER) finished second in the No. 36 car, making the perfect triumph for the Stuttgart sports car manufacturer at round three of this season’s Formula E.By clinching the top two podium positions in Mexico, the TAG Heuer Porsche Formula E Team progresses up the team rankings to third place. In the drivers’ standings, Pascal Wehrlein sits third, tied for points with André Lotterer in fourth.
In the second night race at the season-opener of the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship in Diriyah, Saudi Arabia, Porsche narrowly missed out on claiming its first podium result. At the wheel of the No. 36 Porsche 99X Electric, André Lotterer secured a strong fourth place for the TAG Heuer Porsche Formula E Team. Finishing ninth in the No. 94 car, Pascal Wehrlein also earned world championship points. After an accident towards the end, the race finished behind the new Formula E safety car, the Porsche Taycan Turbo S.
Strong qualifying – disappointing race: The start to season 8 of the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship for the TAG Heuer Porsche Formula E Team was not crowned with success. Scoring eleventh place with his No. 94 Porsche 99X Electric at the Diriyah E-Prix in Saudi Arabia, Pascal Wehrlein (GER) narrowly missed out on earning points. His teammate André Lotterer (GER) took the flag in P13 with the No. 36 car.
The TAG Heuer Porsche Formula E Team has fought for points, positions and podium places in the world’s first fully electric racing series since season 6. With success: At Porsche’s debut race in Diriyah, André Lotterer clinched the first podium spot with second place – and repeated this feat at race six of the season in Berlin.
Pascal Wehrlein joined the team in Season 7 and finished third to claim his first podium result at the Rome E-Prix. Lotterer made it onto the podium in the Sunday race at the Valencia E-Prix. The two Germans line up for the TAG Heuer Porsche Formula E Team again in Season 8. You can find all the key facts and statistics on the 2021/2022 Formula E season here.

After over 30 years, Porsche returned to Formula racing in 2019. The goal is to continue the extraordinary history of the sports car manufacturer in motorsport, and to accompany the Porsche Strategy 2030 with the first fully-electric race car.
The overwhelming majority of the components in the Porsche 99X Electric are standard parts and are specified by the Formula E regulations. However, there are also areas, in which Porsche’s unique expertise can be applied. For example, the engineers were able to strike out on their own when developing the Porsche E-Performance powertrain, and could call on their experience gained during their successful time in LMP1.
The Porsche 99X Electric is also a development platform for current and future fully-electric production cars, such as the Porsche Taycan and the Taycan Cross Turismo.

André Lotterer and Pascal Wehrlein are the two regular drivers in the TAG Heuer Porsche Formula E Team for Season 8 of the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship. Lotterer competed for Porsche in its debut season in the fully-electric racing series. In Wehrlein, the team welcomes on board a young and highly-talented driver who has already amassed a wealth of experience in Formula E and other top-class racing series. Together, the two drivers will challenge for race wins and the World Championship title, awarded for the first time in Formula E in the 2020/2021 season. "André and Pascal have contributed significantly to this positive development.
At 40 years of age, André Lotterer can look back on a long and successful motorsport career. Whether in Europe or Asia, Formula or GT racing, wherever Lotterer drives, he is successful – this includes Formula E, in which he made his debut in 2017 before ‘coming home’ to Porsche two years later. “We are going to make Formula E history,” Lotterer predicted at the time. A few months later, he was proved right. He claimed the team’s first podium finish in its first race in Diriyah – a feat that no other manufacturer had achieved since Season 2. Two other podium finishes have been added since then. In season 8, Lotterer aims to stand on the top of the podium for the first time with the TAG Heuer Porsche Formula E Team.
“I want to be successful and win races and championships. With this in mind, I believe I am at exactly the right place with Porsche,” said Pascal Wehrlein in 2020, just days after the announcement of his move to the TAG Heuer Porsche Formula E Team. Anyone who believes that he is aiming too high need only take a look at the career so far of the young driver, who was born in Sigmaringen: whether in the DTM, Formula 1 or Formula E, Wehrlein has always impressed and demonstrated his immense talent. In just his fourth race with the TAG Heuer Porsche Formula E Team, Wehrlein made it onto the podium when he finished third place at the Rome E-Prix. More of them will hopefully follow in the coming season.

Since September 2014, the ABB FIA Formula E Championship has been the most exciting international all-electric racing series. Races take place on just one race day in major cities worldwide. Up to 24 drivers duel it out in the narrow street canyons. Since 2019, the TAG Heuer Porsche Formula E Team has been in the middle of the action. From January 2022, the 8th season will start, crowned with an official world championship for the second time ever.
Race Mode
Attack Mode
Fanboost
Season 8 saw some changes in the overall power allocation: in Race Mode, drivers have now 220 kW (299 PS) available power. At the same time, the power during Attack Mode was increased as well.
Another special feature of Formula E is Attack Mode. During the race, drivers have to move off the racing line and pass through several Activation Zones in a certain part of the track. This gives them an extra 30 kW, or a total of 250 kW (340 PS), which they can use for about four minutes. Each driver can deploy Attack Mode twice during a race.
With Fanboost, Formula E is the only racing series in the world to offer its fans the opportunity to actively influence the action. Fans can vote for their favourites via an online voting function on the Formula E app or on the homepage, and in doing so earn them an extra energy boost in the race. The five drivers with the most votes can call on an extra 100 kJ in a short time window in the second half of the race.

Data determined in accordance with the measurement method required by law. Since 1 September 2017 certain new cars have been type approved in accordance with the Worldwide Harmonised Light Vehicles Test Procedure (WLTP), a more realistic test procedure to measure fuel/electricity consumption and CO2 emissions. As of 1 September 2018 the WLTP replaced the New European Driving Cycle (NEDC). Due to the more realistic test conditions, the fuel/electricity consumption and CO2 emission values determined in accordance with the WLTP will, in many cases, be higher than those determined in accordance with the NEDC. This may lead to corresponding changes in vehicle taxation from 1 September 2018. You can find more information on the difference between WLTP and NEDC at www.porsche.com/wltp.
Currently, we are still obliged to provide the NEDC values, regardless of the type approval process used. The additional reporting of the WLTP values is voluntary until their obligatory use. As far as new cars (which are type approved in accordance with the WLTP) are concerned, the NEDC values will, therefore, be derived from the WLTP values during the transition period. To the extent that NEDC values are given as ranges, these do not relate to a single, individual car and do not constitute part of the offer. They are intended solely as a means of comparing different types of vehicle. Extra features and accessories (attachments, tyre formats, etc.) can change relevant vehicle parameters such as weight, rolling resistance and aerodynamics and, in addition to weather and traffic conditions, as well as individual handling, can affect the fuel/electricity consumption, CO2 emissions and performance values of a car.
