Half a century of history: Golfblue is a true classic amongst Porsche colours. The historic Porsche special colour is also a historic Volkswagen special colour and has been available for the 911 and the 912 (F model) since the mid-1960s. Golfblue is a non-metallic medium blue, but darker than the later well-known colour Gulfblue, which are not to be confused. It is believed that the name and the colour itself are both derived from the warm ocean current of the Gulf of Mexico.
