Tropical lightness: Mexicoblue is a distinctive and light Porsche shade of blue that is inspired by the bold colours of the American muscle cars of the 1960s and 1970s. The intense blue tone resembles the colour of the Caribbean Sea and a light blue agave. In the colour spectrum, it can be classified as somewhere between sky blue and turquoise. Mexicoblue symbolises liveliness and is a light to medium blue. With just a few interruptions in between, it could be ordered for the 911 starting in 1974 under the colour code 336. The non-metallic colour enjoys a timeless look because it goes perfectly with any sports car.

Mexicoblue has plenty of fans in the USA, and one well-known Porsche collector has joined their ranks – actor and comedian Jerry Seinfeld ordered and received the last air-cooled 911 Carrera 4 S (993), which was built in the colour Mexicoblue on 31 March 1998 at the Zuffenhausen factory.
