Rare and mystical: Moongem is a unique reinterpretation of the historic colour lilac and moonstone from the late 1970s, whose name derives from the lilac plant. The soft violet hue was found only on a few models of the 924, 928, 930 and 911 SC at the time.The today´s name is based on the gemstone of the same name, which is characterised by a milky, iridescent white-grey colour and has a violet adularescence effect. This shimmering light effect is caused by the reflection and scattering of light and is created in the inner structure of the stone. The purple undertone in Moongem appears mild and creates a beautiful dynamic when exposed to sunlight, making the vehicle appear almost white.
