Prudence and strength: Stonegreymetallic is a historic Porsche colour that the sports car manufacturer has repeatedly offered since the 1980s. The colour is a cool and neutral grey tone that is reminiscent of natural stones such as granite or slate and also has a metallic sheen. Since 1985, Stonegreymetallic was made available under the colour code LY7U for the 924 and 944 models. From 1989 onwards, it was also offered for the models 911, 928 and 964 under the colour code 693. Stonegreymetallic is a medium to dark grey tone with a sophisticated metallic finish that has little to no undertones of other colours – this give it the character of a true neutral tone. At first glance, the cool grey shade resembles GTsilvermetallic, but Stonegreymetallic is much darker and more of a grey than a silver colour. The colour should also not be confused with the non-metallic Stone grey, which has stronger green undertones.
