Natural beauty: Basaltblackmetallic is a natural-looking colour that was offered starting from the end of the 1990s for the 911, 718, Cayenne and Panamera model series. The metallic colour is due to the colouring of the volcanic rock basalt, which has a dark grey to black tone. Basaltblackmetallic is a metallic black that ranges from a light grey to a dark charcoal in certain lighting conditions and can reveal bluish-purple undertones. The colour enjoys a stylish, unobtrusive and modern look. At the end of 2011, Porsche introduced the special model Black Edition based on the 911 Carrera (997.2), which was limited to 1,911 units. The model was only available in two colours: Black uni and Basaltblackmetallic.
