Timeless, classic and elegant: Aetnablue is a historical colour with a clear reference to the early years of Porsche. The well-known shade of blue was available on the legendary Porsche 356 B in the early 1960s and was also called 'Ätnablau' or 'Etnablue'. The colour code at that time was R740 or 6003. In 2009, Aetnablue returned to the 911 (997) under the current colour code. This shade of blue is subtle and has an impressive slight hint of grey and pastel undertones. Aetnablue gives vehicles a timeless and classic design, the colour composition leaves a calming feeling of serenity and elegance. Aetnablue gained further popularity as the exterior colour of the 911 Targa 4S Exclusive Design Edition (991.2) from 2016. The special edition enjoys a refined attention to detail and was only available for a limited time.
