Historic and calming atmosphere: Dolphingrey is a rarely chosen shade of grey, which in appearance is reminiscent of the grey colour of dolphins. The cool colour tone goes back to the Porsche 356 model. Dolphingrey was one of the sports car manufacturer’s first special colours in the early 1960s. Dolphingrey could also be selected as a special colour on the 911 and 912 model series. The early 356 colour Dolphingrey is a light grey with subtle blue and green undertones that have a calming effect. Depending on the lighting conditions, the colour intensity can vary from a very light grey to a medium grey. The colour appears sophisticated and yet radiates calm at the same time.
